April isn’t just bringing showers to Mississippi this spring, it’s also bringing 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and musician Chris Stapleton to Neshoba County.
Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music announced that Stapleton will play two back-to-back shows at the historic Ellis Theater in Philadelphia on Saturday, April 12. The proceeds from both special performances will go toward funding the construction of the Congress’ Community Hall. The facility will be the latest expansion for the museum, aiming to provide a gathering space within the world-class country music museum and performing arts center.
“Chris Stapleton is one of the finest artists of our time,” said Marty Stuart, Grammy-winning Country Music Hall of Famer and founder of the Congress. “To have Chris Stapleton perform at the Ellis Theater, in the heart of my hometown, is an honor and a moment we will never forget. We are thankful that Chris has so graciously donated his time to help raise money for the Congress of Country Music.”
Stapleton will take the Ellis Theater stage at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Availability to purchase tickets open on March 12 at 10:00 a.m. here.
