MARION COUNTY, Miss.- The Marion County Sheriff’s Department said a child was shot accidentally on Wednesday night.
Police received a call around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday night after a child was reported shot.
When they arrived they were told the wounds were not life threatening and that the shooting was an accident.
They have declined to release any other details at this time, as the sheriff’s department is investigating.
No charges have been filed.
