LOUISVILLE, Miss.–A family gathering turned tragic Friday afternoon about 3:30 near Louisville when a toddler was run over by a relative. Winston County Coroner Scott Gregory ID’d the child as Jaylen Jones.
It happened in a rural part of the county. The child was playing outside when a relative apparently did not see him and ran him over.
Jones was taken first to the local hospital and then airlifted to Jackson, where he died about 8 p.m. Friday.
No charges were expected to be filed because the death was accidental.
