MORTON, Miss.- A chicken plant affiliated with the Illinois-based Koch Foods has been cited for violations by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The OSHA has cited nine serious safety violations after a worker sliced a finger back in March, and another worker broke two fingers on a rotating shaft in April.
Local media reports the violations total fines of $88,632.
No statements have been released at this time by Koch or the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union.
Prior violations were recorded in 2010 and 2012.
