A Chickasaw County Deputy was killed in a single-car crash last night.
According to WTVA, Deputy Jeremy Voyles was traveling on County Road 4 in the area on Tuesday night when his car rolled over. Voyles was airlifted to a Tupelo hospital where he would later pass away.
Voyles was on-duty at the time, and it is unclear if the other officer in the car sustained any injuries as a result of the crash.
Following Voyles’ passing, Colonel Chris Gillard, Director of the Mississippi Highway Patrol, posted the following message.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
