One of Mississippi’s favorite fast-food restaurants will be closing its doors in downtown Jackson.
On Friday, officials with Chick-fil-A announced that its location in Regions Plaza off East Capital Street will be closing permanently after 31 years of service. Customers will have until January 31 to enjoy final meals at the spot.
The reason for the location’s closure was not released.
“We are deeply grateful for the privilege of serving you here,” a statement from the franchise reads. “Thank you for the moments of care and support you have shown our team. We sincerely hope that we have had the same positive impact on you as you have had on us.”
The downtown location may be closing soon. However, Chick-fil-A enthusiasts in the Jackson metro area will not be without their beloved chicken dishes.
Other locations in Jackson, Ridgeland, Byram, Clinton, Madison, Flowood, and Brandon will remain up and running every day, except Sunday, of course.
