Mississippians will have to work a little more than just “9 to 5” to afford tickets to Dolly Parton’s upcoming shows at the Ellis Theater located in the Marty Stuart Congress of Country Music.
As of now, the cheapest tickets found on the venue’s website sit at $1,750 per seat before fees and taxes, bringing the total price to $1,878.50 for one ticket to watch the legendary country music icon perform one of her two shows on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Tickets being sold at $3,500, or $3,751 after fees, are also still available for those eager to witness the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.
Parton will perform at both 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Philadelphia theater. Those unable to purchase tickets are encouraged to attend an outdoor viewing area at the theater with food and drink vendors. Admission will be $35.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dolly Parton to the Ellis Theater for two special shows,” Marty Stuart said. “We are thankful that Dolly has so graciously donated her time to help raise money for the Congress of Country Music.”
All proceeds from the event will go to support Dolly’s Imagination Library and the Congress of Country Music.
