The girls are back in town – or at least they will be.
Mississippi’s favorite country music trio, Chapel Hart, has announced plans to perform a free concert on June 22 in their hometown of Poplarville. Sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and their cousin Trea Swindle will team up with Meridian pastor singer Todd Tilghman for a one-of-a-kind concert at Pearl River Community College.
“The ladies know that not everyone can afford tickets to a show, so they are performing for no cost,” a press release noted. “Chapel Hart has been blessed with so much support, and they want to give back to the community that has been there from the very beginning.”
Both Chapel Hart and Tilghman gained popularity through singing competition shows. While Tilghman was the season 18 winner of The Voice, Chapel Hart became the first-ever act to garner a unanimous Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent. “The Girls Are Back in Town” singers went on to finish in the show’s top five for season 17 before a meteoric rise that has included shoutouts from Dolly Parton, jam sessions with Darius Rucker, performances at the Grand Ole Opry, and the release of multiple studio albums.
Most recently, Chapel Hart returned to the AGT stage as part of its new spinoff, AGT: Fantasy League. Since, they have been performing across the country with stops planned for South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia planned before their highly anticipated return to Mississippi.
