After advancing to the second round during the finale of America’s Got Talent, Mississippi’s beloved country music trio fell just shy of winning the $1 million grand prize and a show in Las Vegas.
Nevertheless, prior to the advancement announcements from host Terry Crews, Chapel Hart brought down the house with their performance of Bonnie Raitt’s iconic hit “Something to Talk About” in which the trio was joined by country music legend Darius Rucker as well as Jon Pardi and fellow contestant Drake Milligan.
Although it’s the end of the AGT road for the group who is bringing a new look and unique style to country music, judges Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell rang high praise for Chapel Hart.
“Talent like yours doesn’t dim. It only gets brighter, so keep on shining bright out there,” Klum said of the trio of rising stars.
Cowell, who was moved by Chapel Hart’s performance of their original song titled “American Pride,” believes the patriotic anthem will end up becoming a hit.
“I really believe last night, you wrote a hit song,” Cowell insisted. “Honestly, I really do believe in that.”
Chapel Hart may not have won the AGT grand prize, but the group succeeded in inspiring a new generation of country music singers. The future is bright for sisters Danica and Devynn Hart as well as their cousin Trea Swindell.
