HOUSTON, Miss.–A teenager is dead and two others seriously burned after a camper fire early Saturday at fire investigators are trying to find out exactly what started the fire. It happened about 4 Saturday morning in rural Chickasaw County.
When firefighters got there, they found two 16-year-old boys and one 14-year-old and brought them to Trace Regional Hospital in Houston, where they were almost immediately airlifted to a Jackson hospital.
One of the 16-year-olds did not make it.
One of the boys was still critical as of Sunday evening.
Investigators were expected to still be at the scene trying to piece together exactly what happened. They were hoping one of the teens could provide some information on it.
