Mississippi’s first and oldest legal distillery is kicking off the annual Cathead Jam music festival once again following a three-year hiatus.
The two-day event on June 2 and June 3 is set to host a weekend filled with musical performances, local food and drinks, games, and more for the Jackson community.
In previous years, the festival has welcomed over 5,000 attendees and hosted bands like The Revivalists, Umphrey’s McGee, and Greensky Bluegrass in 2019.
This year, Cathead Jam is scheduled to feature an array of musical genres from numerous bands, including Cimafunk, Shakey Graves, and The Flaming Lips.
“After three summers with no Jam, we’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for,” Richard Patrick, co-founder of Cathead Distillery, said. “We’ve always said Cathead Jam was a music festival for Jackson, so we’re excited to partner with even more locally owned restaurants, businesses, and brands to make this year’s festival one for the books.”
Attendees will also be invited to taste food provided by local chefs, craft brews from the Jackson-based Fertile Ground Beer Co., and craft cocktails made with Cathead Distillery’s line of small-batch spirits.
Tickets for Friday’s lineups begin at $95 per person, with Saturday’s tickets set at $85. Weekend passes are also available at $155 for each attendee, while VIP tickets are currently priced at $455.
All proceeds will go directly to advancing the mission of the Dreamnote Foundation, which was created as the nonprofit owner of Cathead Jam.
