CARROLL COUNTY, MISS– A heavy load crossing the bridge on county road 286 didn’t quite make it across. The bridge is down in the creek.
“A major piece of equipment went over,” says county worker Gail Beard, “now the whole bridge is in the creek.”
If you drive through there often, you’ve heard it called Carolton-Grenada Road. If you have to travel that way for work, find a detour. County supervisors say they don’t know when the bridge will be fixed.
