PICAYUNE, Miss.- A man went in for a sweet treat of donuts at his local Picayune Donut Hole shop, but never saw the car coming.
A car rammed into the Picayune Donut Hole on Memorial Drive killing Joel Bennett, 78, and injuring two others.
Sun Herald reports the Pearl River County Coroner Derek Turnage said Bennett was taken to Highland Community Hospital, where he later died from a suffered cervical fracture and multiple blunt force traumas.
One of the victims was airlifted to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg and the other person is in stable condition.
Police have not released information regarding the driver or how the accident happened.
