JACKSON, Miss.–If you’re not on the No Call List, you can get on it easily in Mississippi. But that list apparently does not always stop companies that make telemarketing calls. One example is Action Point, LLC. The company has been fined $30,000 for violating that list at least six times.
The fine was imposed after Thursday’s Public Service Commission meeting.
Northern District Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley said the company was served by the PSC for making the calls and failing to register with the PSC as a telephone solicitor.
That’s when they decided on the fines.
If you want your name and number added to the No Call list, call the Public Service Commission at 1-800-356-6428, or go to www.psc.state.ms.us/nocall.
