JACKSON, Miss.–If you’ve been bugged by calls from Higher Impact, Inc., of Phoenix, Ariz., or Mississippi’s Diverse Solutions, LLC., then you’ll be glad to know justice has been served, according to the state Public Service Commission.
Those companies racked up fines totaling $40,000. The reason: neither company had registered as telephone solicitors with the State of Mississippi. The calls to you were in violation of the state’s no call law, said Northern District Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley.
The Phoenix company got a $15,000 fine, while Diverse Solutions got a $25,000 fine.
In Mississippi you can get on a no call list so companies cannot legally call you to sell their goods or services. If you want to be added to the list, you can call the Public Service Commission at 1-800-356-6428, or visit www.psc.state.ms.us .
