A Caledonia woman has been arrested for the second time in six weeks for violence against a man.
Macy Leighann Barnes, 23, was first arrested on Feb. 6 and charged with domestic violence and aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing a man at a home on Wolf Trail. The victim was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
On Sunday, Barnes was arrested again and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly running over a man in a motel parking lot in Columbus.
Police told WCBI that Damion Brown reportedly forced his way into the Red Roof Inn Barnes and her boyfriend were staying in. After an altercation, Brown left the room and went to the parking lot. Not long after, Barnes also went to the parking lot and is said to have gotten into a vehicle before hitting Brown with her car.
Prior to these two arrests, records show Barnes had been booked on another domestic violence charge as well as burglary.
