Mississippi-based telecommunications company C Spire is once again being recognized on the national level.
It was announced Tuesday that C Spire was named one of America’s Most Admired Workplaces by Newsweek for 2025. The award annually goes to 400 companies across different industries that surveys reflect employees want to work for.
“We are honored to be recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Most Admired Workplaces. At C Spire, our focus is on creating exceptional experiences that add value for our customers. This work relies on our company culture and the foundation built by team members,” C Spire President & CEO Suzy Hays said. “Our success comes from empowering team members to innovate and improve lives through technology. When team members find purpose in their work, it reflects internally and attracts those seeking to work at C Spire.”
C Spire, which was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Ridgeland, has approximately 1,600 employees across five continents. To achieve employee growth, the company offers extensive professional development opportunities, including tuition assistance, in-house training, and initiatives that build a team culture.
The nod from Newsweek was in part due to C Spire’s efforts to ensure employees have a healthy work-life balance. According to a press release, C Spire provides generous paid time off, comprehensive benefits packages, and robust support for the health and well-being of employees and their families. Earlier this year, C Spire was recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families.
One other Mississippi company, Yates Construction, was also included in America’s Most Admired Workplaces by Newsweek for 2025. Founded in 1963, Yates Construction is headquartered in Philadelphia and has around 5,000 employees.
