JACKSON Miss.-You read it right. Bus drivers from Jackson and across the state are looking to take home the title of best “school bus driver” in Mississippi.
The tournament runs June 17-19th and will challenge participants with a written exam, regarding safe student transportation, followed by a safety maneuvers driving test.
Last years Champion, Mary Barnes, out of the Jackson School District, isn’t even allowed to participate in the this years event or any competition for the next two years. She was dominant in the 20-14 competition.
During the event divers will be able to participate in training, seminars and awards.
The Mississippi Association of Pupil Transportation and the Mississippi Department of Education/Division of Pupil Transportation are this years hosts.
