D’Iberville, Miss. — The sound from a bulldozer is one of the first signs of getting about 20 families back into their own homes.
Workers are tearing down a burned out Arbor View Apartment building in D’Iberville. A California woman is accused of starting a fire in her boyfriend’s apartment at that same complex on Fat Tuesday; but the fire eventually spread to his neighbors. The building is a complete loss. But demolition crews are hoping to save the concrete slab and have the site read for inspection next week. Owners say this time they will put in water sprinklers.
