The Mississippi State Bulldogs beat the #11 ranked LSU tigers in the first SEC match up of the season for MSU. The final score of the game was 37-7.
MSU’s offense and defense were dynamic throughout the game with quarterback Nick Fitzgerald completing 180 passing yards, two touch downs, 88 rushing yards, and two rushing touch downs.
The 30 point win for the bulldogs marked the largest margin of victory over a ranked opponent since 1942.
Next week the bulldogs will travel to Georgia to face off against the University of Georgia Saturday, September 23. Kick off will be at 6:00 p.m.
