After being diagnosed with COVID-19 this morning, President Trump is being flown by Marine One to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for the virus this morning both being listed as having “mild symptoms.”
The White House press says the President is just being taken “out of an abundance of caution.” There has been no other update on his condition as of now.
White House Press Secretary, Kaleigh McEnany said, “Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days. President Trump appreciates the outpouring of support for both he and the First Lady.”
As of now, no indications have been made that Trump has any plan to transfer power to Vice President, Mike Pence temporarily as he convalesces.
Updates are to come. This is a developing story.
