JACKSON- Bond was denied for two people accused of killing three men at a pawn shop in Jackson last year.
Joshua Garcia and Jamison Townsend were denied bond in their preliminary hearing with Hinds county Judge William Skinner.
They were each charged with three counts of capitol murder after their arrest in Geary County, Kansas, in December.
Jackson Police Commander Tyree Jones said, “They had a preliminary hearing in Hinds County Court yesterday [Monday] morning before Judge Skinner. They were both bound over to the Hinds County Grand Jury and are being held with no bond.”
The crime took place at Bill’s Pawn/Jewelry on Wilmington Street in Jackson. Police found 81-year-old Cleveland “Bill” Mosley, 60-year-old Robert Ivy, and 77-year-old Ted McLemore shot dead on December 17, 2016, inside the store.
Garcia and Townsend were already wanted in connection to a burglary of a Pascagoula business before the murders happened.
They were finally tracked down on December 21 in Kansas after being chased by authorities.
