JACKSON, MISS—Several schools across the state have all received the same threat: there’s a bomb in the school.
That phone call rang into schools in Senatobia, Hattiesburg, Magee, Bassfield, and Hinds County today. The schools were placed on lockdown and clear per the typical procedure. Nothing was found, and children are safe.
However, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and The Department of Homeland Security are now looking into the calls, to see where they came from, who dialed the schools and why.
News Mississippi has made contact with the FBI and will update as details become available.
