NEWTON, Miss.- The body of a man was found outside of the Newton Junction Shell Station Monday night.
The identity of the man’s body has been confirmed as Tommie Wilson, a Georgia truck driver who went missing on May 25. Wilson’s 18-wheeler was found at the service station prior to the body being located.
Assistant Police Chief Bud May says they are not sure where to start. The officers investigating this crime don’t have much to go on in regards to motive or suspects. They are asking the public to call the Newton Police Department with any information they may have. That number is 601-683-2041.
The body was found by Newton County police officers and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and has been sent to Jackson to be examined by the state crime lab.
