RANKIN COUNTY, Miss.- A body was pulled from the Pearl River Thursday morning near Tommy’s Trading Post.
Police confirm that, just before 9:00 a.m., authorities received a call that a boat was floating near Ratliffs Ferry and House Boat Island. They then received another call that a body was also floating in the water.
Around 9:18 a.m. authorities pulled a man’s body from the water.
The body has been sent to the state crime lab but no identity has been confirmed at this time.
