COLUMBUS, Miss.- In a meeting Saturday the Columbus Municipal School District Board of Trustees ranked its performance and set new goals.
Those goals included an emphasis on better meeting decorum and a promotion of more involvement from the public. The Commercial Dispatch reported that the meeting was intended for the board to have this review and set new goals.
They want to continue to see education and welfare of students as the forefront of their priority.
During the meeting they identified several areas that could use improvement such as transparency and representing the interests of the entire district, as well as an emphasis on good meeting decorum and encouraging a more involved public.
