You’ve seen sandcastles before. You may even have a bit of skill with sand-sculpting.
But maybe you’ve never seen it like this.
75 tons of sand. 10 days of construction. One bicentennial for the state of Mississippi.
The sculpting team has worked from June 20 through June 30 constructing the sculpture entirely from sand, which will be displayed at Edgewater Mall in Biloxi.
The public is invited to the mall to watch the finishing touches. But if you can’t make it, here are a few progress pictures.
The completed sculpture will be on display in Edgewater Mall during regular mall hours through at least September.
