Biloxi cemetery says ‘No Pokémon Go”

BILOXI, Miss.- The Biloxi National Cemetery has asked that gamers refrain from playing Pokémon Go on cemetery grounds.

In a press release the VA cemetery officials reminded guests that the grounds are dedicated to the service and sacrifice of the nation’s veterans and their families.

The notice also included a ban on riding skateboards, bicycles, jogging, picnicking, roller blading, walking pets, hunting and fishing.

The grounds are considered hallowed grounds that stand as a shrine. Officials are committed to preserving the surroundings and sanctity of them.

“While we invite visitors to Biloxi National Cemetery, we remind them of the cemetery’s solemn purpose…” said officials in the release. “We will not tolerate any activity that does not honor the final resting place of these men and women.”
