Now that most abortions are illegal in Mississippi, one non-profit group is sending a message to inform women in the state that they still have a choice.
MayDay Health is the non-profit behind several new billboards in the Jackson area: two on U.S. Highway 49 and one on Interstate 20. The billboards read “Pregnant? You still have a choice,” and include information about the group, which specializes in providing women with resources regarding abortion.
According to MayDay’s website, its mission statement is “to share info about how to access safe abortion pills in any state. We hope to empower people to make their own informed decision about their own bodies.”
In addition, the nonprofit’s website includes information on how women can acquire abortion pills online and have them delivered in the mail, even in states like Mississippi that have implemented a ban.
