The Big “I” National Championship is returning to Mississippi in August, and with it comes some of the country’s most talented golfers under the age of 19.
There will be 159 entrants from 39 states participating.
“This is a qualifying tournament,” said Hal Graves, an organizer of the event. “So these kids are qualifying on the local level to compete here.”
The championship is the nation’s largest junior stroke-play golf tournament and one of the premier junior golf events. The event is organized by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, thus the name “The Big I.”
“You’re going to have some truly good players coming out,” said Graves.
The championship is scheduled for August 7-10 at Annandale Golf Club in Madison.
