VICKSBURG, Miss.–It was in December that Jamaro South, Sr. was arrested and charged with murder. Police say he shook his six-month-old son to death. Now he’s going to prison, but it’s not on murder charges. He’s still set to face a jury in his baby’s killing.
South was out of prison on probation when the shaking death happened. He was a convicted burglar.
The arrest violated his parole and means he’s going back up the river for 10 more years, plaus 5 years probation after that.
As far as the murder trial, that starts Sept. 2.
