RALEIGH, Miss.–Who would beat a 90-year-old man to death? The answer to that is what deputies in Smith County are trying to find today. An autopsy is being done at the state crime lab on 90 year-old Mims Bowen.
Bowen’s son found his father at his apartment near Raleigh Wednesday night. Bowen died Thursday morning at UMMC in Jackson.
Deputies told media that Bowen was beaten and had been hit in the head. By what, they don’t know yet.
The motive was also unclear. Whether Bowen had been robbed or not, they were still looking into it.
