Authorities have released the identity of the man found dismembered in an abandoned house in Jackson after a dog was seen carrying a human arm in its mouth by a JPD officer.
The officer spotted the dog around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, with the rest of the body outside of the head being found near a house on Terry Road the same night. The head was later found Monday morning. According to authorities, the victim appeared to be a male.
Now, the body has been identified as 54-year-old Scott Allen Tyler by Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart.
As of now, no arrest has been made relating to the investigation.
