Three arrests have been made following the death of a Hattiesburg teenager.
Last Friday, 19-year-old Jack Eagan Kelly, of Louisiana, was dropped off to a AAA Ambulance at Clark’s service station on Highway 49 just before midnight, according to the Hattiesburg PD. Kelly was taken to a hospital, but died shortly after. No exact cause of death for Kelly has been released at this time.
After an investigation was opened, officials determined that the initial crime scene was a home on Blue Gable Road, and they began to look at the case as a homicide connected to a drug deal.
So far, four suspects have been identified and three have been arrested.
- Delbert Edgar Kennedy III, 23, of Hattiesburg, was taken into custody at that location, and has been charged with accessory after the fact of 2nd-degree murder, hindering prosecution (obstruction of justice), and conspiracy to commit a felony (possession of narcotics).
- Alex Emmanuel Roberts Rivera, 22, of Hattiesburg, was arrested at 22 – Campbell Scenic Drive, and has been charged with 2nd-degree murder, conspiracy to commit a felony (possession of narcotics) and hindering prosecution (obstruction of justice).
- Klayton King, 19, of Slidell, Louisiana, was charged with hindering prosecution (obstruction of justice) and conspiracy to commit a felony (sale of narcotics).
Police are still searching for 19-year-old Hayden Calico.
