GREENVILLE, Miss. – A suspected serial bank robber, on the run from Nevada authorities, has been arrested in Mississippi.
Robert Kincade, 40, is believed to be responsible for the robbery of as many as ten banks in Las Vegas and Reno. Police had been searching for him since March 11 when a warrant was issued for his arrest on multiple charges, including armed bank robbery.
FBI agents in Las Vegas got a tip Tuesday that Kincade was in Greenville, Mississippi and he was picked up at a business on Highway 1.
“The exceptional response of (Greenville Police) Chief (Freddie) Cannon and the Greenville Police Department resulted in the immediate arrest of this wanted person, who was considered to be armed and dangerous,” said Donald Always, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Mississippi. “Due to the partnership and outstanding efforts of the FBI, the Greenville Police Department, and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, this alleged serial bank robber is safely behind bars.”
Kincade is expected to be in federal court in Greenville before being extradited to Nevada.
