The coast was the only area expected to be well above freezing for daytime highs both Monday and Tuesday, while the rest of the state was expected not only to not make it above freezing, but possibly to stay in the 20s both days.
All areas were under hard freeze warnings and wind chill advisories.

Remember to wrap your pipes if you haven’t already. Leave water dripping to keep it from freezing. Make sure your car has plenty of antifreeze.
Check on your neighbors, especially the elderly. Make sure you and they have a safe way to keep warm. Preferably, do not use space heaters for long periods and keep anything that could burn well away from them. Never use a stove to heat your house.
When you go outside, bundle up. Wear layers of clothing.
The cold weather will end, so brace yourself for the next couple of days and especially nights before the arctic blast moves on out.
