The Marion County Historical Society (MCHS) has announced the Fordsville Antebellum Christmas on Saturday November 25, from 12:00 p.m. until midnight.
The Antebellum Christmas offers guests a rare and unique experience to participate in Christmas activities themed and centered around the mid-1800s with dramatized presentations from actors and actresses.
They will featured Candlelight Tours to offer guests the opportunity to experience the ambiance of a time when the historic John Ford Home’s walls were light up by candle light. The tours will go on every 30 minutes.
A brand new addition to this years festivities is The Christmas story. It will be presented in the Paynes Chapel as part of the authentic period church service. Carolers will be on the grounds singing Christmas songs.

Admission during the daytime is $20 for all daytime activities, and an additional $5 for night time Candlelight tour. For the night time events it is $20 for admission that includes all activities, however tickets are limited.
All proceeds will go toward the Fordsville Development FUnd which was established to help preserve the John Ford Home and develop the site into a regional heritage tourism destination.
