An all-clear has been issued after a training grenade was found at a Goodwill store in Gulfport.
According to WLOX, both police and fire crews responded to the store on Highway 49 around 11:30 a.m. Fire Chief Billy Kelley said at that time, it was unknown if the grenade was live or not, and officers discovered that it was only for training purposes meaning it could not go off.
The grenade had apparently been turned in alongside a large load of donations. Out of precaution, both employees and customers were evacuated, and a perimeter was set around the store as crews investigated.
The store has since reopened.
