LORMAN, Miss.- Alcorn State University is making tuition for out-of-state students more affordable.
The University will become the third, four-year college in Mississippi to waive out-of-state tuition for all nonresident students.
Delta State University and Mississippi Valley State University are the others.
Alcorn officials estimate the school will forfeit about $1.5 million in out-of-state charges in the first year of the policy.
The state College Board approved the waiver earlier this month.
