LORMAN, Miss.- Just a few days after landing their new women’s coach, the Braves have found the man to lead their men’s team. Montez Robinson has been named the head coach of the men’s basketball team at Alcorn State University.
Robinson spent the past four seasons as an assistant at Bethune Cookman, and before that he spent six years on staff at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
Robinson is replacing Luther Riley, who left the team in the middle of last season. It became official at the end of the year that the school, and the athletic department would be moving in a different direction.
Details on Robinson’s contract have not yet been released.
