For the second year in a row, the Alcorn State men’s basketball team are regular season Southwestern Athletic Conference champions.
The Braves, who finished the regular season tied atop the SWAC with Grambling State, secured back-to-back titles Saturday with a 63-58 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. It’s the first time the program has won consecutive regular season championships since the 1998-1999 and 1999-2000 seasons.
