In a release, Keesler Air Force Base announced that an 81st Training Wing airman stationed at Keesler was found dead on Sunday. The name of the deceased active duty airman will not be released until 24 hours after next of kin notification.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of our airman,” said Col. Debra A. Lovette, 81st Training Wing commander. “We are all deeply saddened by this tragic loss in our Dragon family.”
Keesler authorities added that the exact cause and nature of the death is still under investigation.
