ADAMS COUNTY, MISS–Arrested and charged for the murder of Charles Edward Knight is Lavander Lashon Williams.
Deputies say it was an argument, then a fight, then shots fired that lead to Knight’s death. Williams had shot at Knight as he was speeding away from the deli where they argued, but Knight was found dead in his truck with a gunshot wound to the back.
Williams was picked up while seeking treatment at the Merit Health hospital. When he was cleared by the doctor, he went to jail.
Now there may be more arrests in this case, but this isn’t the first time Williams has had a run in with the law.
Twenty-nine times Williams has found himself in cuffs one way or the other.
Williams is currently in the Adams County Jail charged with murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and parole violation. Bond for all three charges totals $800,000.00.
