COLUMBUS, Miss. – Three adults are in legal trouble after getting on a Lowndes County school bus and confronting the driver.
Investigators say the trio was upset because a child had been dropped off at the wrong school and his lunchbox was missing. Video footage on the bus shows Roy Rice grabbing the driver’s cellphone while he, Anita Rice and Malia Ferguson confronted the driver. Roy Rice is charged with simple assault on a school official and boarding a bus without permission. His bond was set Friday at $20,000. Anita Rice and Ferguson are charged with boarding a school bus without permission.
