JACKSON, Miss.–Though most of Mississippi was clear of severe weather Monday morning, the National Weather Service was expecting significant storm development in the afternoon and NWS Warning Coordinator Steve Wilkinson said you can expect “high-end” severe storms, meaning there very well could be serious damage in the state.
Wilkinson told SuperTalk Mississippi host JT that the conditions are very ripe and the calm you were seeing Monday morning should be no indication that it’s time to lay off your preparedness plan.
