MERIDIAN, Miss.–You probably couldn’t tell this guy that violence in the Queen City is not as bad as in Jackson or Detroit, for that matter. Police said Wednesday they are looking for a drive-by shooter who popped off several rounds, one of which hit a man who was standing on his own porch, minding his own business.
At least that’s the story he gave police.
It was Tuesday night when it happened. The man said a car drove by and somebody started shooting. One of the bullets got him, but he apparently did not go to the hospital until later on Wednesday.
Meridian Police said they did not have a very good description of the shooter’s car, but if you know anything about it, you can call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.
