JONES COUNTY, Miss.- An inmate that escaped the Jones County Adult Detention Center Monday afternoon has turned himself in.
Authorities said 27-year-old Micah Phillips walked away from a work crew Monday afternoon, but his dad drove him to the jail so he could turn himself in a few hours later.
Phillips is listed as a non-violent offender with misdemeanor charges for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
