JACKSON, Miss.–Get ready for rain during the day Thursday, and a better Friday. If you were wondering if there were any bad storms on the way, not with this system.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Eric Carpenter said the central part of the state would be getting much of the shower activity.
“We’re seeing widespread rainfall, mostly moderate intensity,” he said. “Over time that rainfall’s gonna add up to maybe a half, maybe an inch.”
The rain was expected to move out by the evening, with drier air moving in from the west.
Milder air was expected to move in behind the front. Friday and Saturday were expected dry, with highs Friday around 60 and near 70 on Saturday. Get ready for more rain chances Sunday.
