The Mississippi Lottery Corporation has completed its November transfer to the state.
With an additional $7,970,084, a total of $41,625,121 has been transferred to the ‘Lottery Proceeds Fund’ in the Mississippi State Treasury for Fiscal Year 2021 and more than $110 million since the launch of the lottery in November 2019.
Each fiscal year, the first $80 million in net proceeds fund infrastructure improvements across the state with any remaining proceeds benefiting public education.
Recently, the Mississippi Department of Transportation announced several projects that will be funded by lottery proceeds.
