OXFORD, Miss. – Two Ole Miss linebackers were arrested Saturday. Denzel Nkemdiche’s had a 21st birthday he won’t forget. While celebrating Nkemdiche was charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and failure to comply with a police officer.
Teammate, Serderius Bryant was also charged over the weekend with public intoxication and disturbing the peace.
They aren’t the first players to be arrested during the off season. Two other players have been arrested before this incident. One with a DUI charge and the other with a sexual battery charge.
Coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement “We are aware of the incidents and gathering facts. Denzel and Serderius are suspended until we know more.”
